Saumya Comer
Saumya Comer, Somatic Therapist, Senior Instructor of Universal Tao, and Senior Chi Nei Tsang Instructor is a long time practitioner, teacher and student of the healing arts. She has been especially influenced by her studies with Master Mantak Chia, Medical Qi Gong Sifu Jerry A Johnson, the subtle forms of Osteopathic body therapy (Visceral Manipulation, Cranial-Sacral, Lymphatic Drainage), and the field of Somatics (Eutony, Aston-Patterning, Sensory Awareness).
In 2002/2003, while living part of the year in Tao Garden, Saumya had the good fortune to study with Karsai Nei Tsang expert Khun Ni and codify KNT into English. The result of this study was the Karsai Nei Tsang book by Master Chia. The global effectiveness of Karsai Nei Tsang was a revelation for Saumya. She could no longer ignore the crucial role the pelvic floor has for the health and integration of the whole body, mind and soul. Since then Saumya has been finding ways to integrate KNT with the other forms of bodywork she practices and teaches in a non threatening and acceptable way to the western sensibilities.
Saumya currently divides her time between the west coast of the United States, France and Holland. She teaches Karsai Nei Tsang for Partners and a Chi Nei Tsang program at Les Temps du Corps in Paris, France. Saumya teaches workshops for woman internationally and weekly Tao Yin/Chi Kung classes when she is at home in Portland, Oregon. Wherever she is she is giving private sessions. Saumya is appreciated for her simple clarity in helping people come home to their natural selves.
Our genitals and reproductive organs are the wellspring of our life force energy. But all too often this special area of the body becomes burdened with physical and emotional stagnations. Karsai Nei Tsang, genital health massage, is an extraordinary tool for releasing these stagnations and restoring the natural self.
In this presentation Saumya will share her understanding of Karsai Nei Tsang, suggest ways of integrating genital massage into the CNT practice, teach how to provide a safe environment for letting go and give everyone a few tools to begin a personal practice of genital self massage.
Throughout the ages, breasts have symbolized the feminine qualities of nurturing, sensuality and expressive love. Breasts are by nature very receptive to energy and can become heavy and numb when the chi becomes stagnant. Stagnant energy is the precursor for disease such as breast cancer.
The ancient Taoists recognized the importance of breast health and developed practices for purging the stagnant energies, cultivating good energetic flow and reviving the communication between the breasts and the rest of the body.
In this class. participants will lean the Medical Qigong exercises for purging toxic chi from the breasts and the Universal Tao practices for massaging breasts and stimulating the hormones and hormonal pathways. This combination of exercises is very effective for women and men of all ages.
