CHRISTIAN BOLLMANN

Christian Bollmann

Christian Bollmann is a composer, musician, multi-instrumentalist and teacher of music. He studied music education, jazz, and contemporary music in Cologne and holds his degree in musical education and composition. He works as a free-lance musician and composer, performing as a soloist and in different formations with other professional musicians.

Since 1973 he has been involved with overtone singing. He has studied with Jon Cage, Karl-Heinz Stockhausen, Mauricio Kagel, and met and worked with Michael Vetter, Roberto Laneri, David Hykes, Keith Tippet, Markus Stockhausen and many others. He is founder and director of the internationally acknowledged Overtone-Choir since twenty years.

As a composer of New Meditative Music he has published 20 CDs on his independent label Lichthaus-Musik. He is also known as a pioneer of a new culture of singing, combining overtone singing, body rhythms with chanting of spiritual healing circle songs and dances. He has published two song books: Lieder des Herzens I and II, Lichthaus-Musik. He is founder of the Peace Pool Project, exploring the healing power of sound and water.

Also musical accompaniment of different congresses. Together with his partner Jutta Reichardt his activities have also focused on sound healing and on the healing and energetic aspects of music in workshops, concerts and mutual projects about healing arts in the last seven years.

In a taoistic, natural and simple way Christian Bollmann and his partner Jutta Reichardt invite you to experience your breath and voice as an intimate instrument enhancing energy flow, inner balance, clarity, stillness and self healing.

While holding a continuous tone we open to the inner realms of contemplative listening and let the inherent scale of harmonic tones unfold naturally by shifting through the vocals.

In this way overtone melodies unfold over our fundamental as a vivid expression of the harmonic laws of life itself. Entering this world of healing sounds is an exciting enrichment and can complement the Universal Healing Tao.
